THE WORLD'S FASTEST INDIAN - Directed by Roger Donaldson - Movie shot in 2005 is inspired by the real life of Burt Munro, a man over 60 from Invercargill (New Zealand) who leads a simple, solitary and modest life, but animated by a very strong passion for his 1920 Indian Army Scout. He takes care of and builds each piece, also taking care of the maintenance himself. He is a quiet, kind, calm man, much appreciated by his neighbors. His big dream is to break the speed record in his category (motorcycles with two-cylinder engines and displacement of less than 1000 cm³) at Speed Week, a race held annually on Lake Bonneville in Utah. His finances are not very prosperous, so he asks and obtains a loan from the Bank and his fellow citizens organize a collection to fulfill his wish. Following a mild heart attack, which reveals a heart problem to him. decides to leave. Thus he embarks on a wonderful journey in which he comes into contact with very different people, but who, being struck by his kindness of soul, decide to help him solve small inconveniences that occurred during the journey. Once in Bonneville, Burt will be able to conquer even his opponents thanks to his mild, kind, but very determined character. Deeply convinced that he has always been able to win Speed Week with his Indian Scout, he will succeed in setting a speed record that has remained undefeated until now.
